Minister Barbara Franklin, President:
Minister Barbara Franklin is the president for Imago Dei Community Development Inc. Her degree is in Gerontology. She has worked extensively with the Area Agency on Aging, as well as the Art Gro Foundation. She also has experience in Care Management Programs. Franklin has worked along with her husband in the ArtGro Foundation. She is the author of three self published books of poetry and the creator of several productions. She and Mr. Franklin have performed in several different venues to include colleges, universities, art galleries, and museums across the southeastern area of the United States. One of the purposes of this organization is to provide children who might otherwise fall through the cracks a chance to benefit from the art experiences. Art in all forms is a set of experiences that has the capability of helping the participants link to the past, learn from their experiences, and make a better future.
Elder Alvin P. Franklin, CEO:
Pastor Alvin P. Franklin is the CEO for Imago Dei Community Development Inc. He was also the co-founder of The ArtGro Foundation an organization that focused on the needs of at-risk youth. He worked along with the Juvenile Justice System of the State of Georgia. He is a licensed, and ordained Minister, and Associate Pastor of the Macedonia Church of Grovetown. He has worked in several different capacities with the Richmond County Board of Education to include teaching at the alternative school with Dr. Wayne Frazier. During the 2009-2010 school year he mentored the 7th and 8th graders at Sego Middle School along with his wife Barbara Franklin. He was a program director for Communities In Schools for 1 1/2 years. He is a graduate of Paine College and intends to work collectively with the Columbia County School System, Law Enforcement, and other agencies to provide programs that will make a difference. Having been a troubled teen himself gives him an edge on being able to recognize and relate to the
